CURATED READS: VOL 1

THE EDIT

Nov 2021

A round on the Old Course and an overnight stay at The Russcaks Hotel provided some inspiration for our first curated edit of reads for November.

THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 1987 - Springwood Books

Recounting the '87 Open held at Muirfield, with Nick Faldo winning the first of his 3 open championships. Faldo had rebuilt his golf swing over the past 2 years with David Leadbetter and he now had proof his new swing would work under intense pressure as he won by a single stroke, finishing above American Paul Azinger. A hit of golf nostalgia.

THINK OF SCOTLAND - Martin Parr

An iconic selection from imagery from the past 25 years from around Scotland. From tourists on the rainy streets of Edinburgh to the Outer Hebrides. Elements of cliches punctuated with thought evoking and warming imagery that will bring a smile as you peruse the many elemenets of Scotland fantastically captured by Parr.

THE LINKS DIARY NO.3

The 3rd edition of the Links Diary. Exploring the many hidden gems and stories of golfing in Scotland, The Links Diary provides a refreshing modern read. The warming story of The Last Caddie was the favourite from this edition including a fine selection of imagery across the edition.
